Episode 17: Richard Bernardin

This episode I got the chance to interview one of my favourite Canadian fashion and portrait photographers, Richard Bernardin. Based in Montreal, Richard has worked for over 20 years at the forefront of fashion and art photography, and has been a leader in the Canadian photography landscape. His resume reads like the greatest of a greatest hits collection: Elle, Vogue, Rolling Stone, celebrity photographer, Canon Ambassador…and the list goes on.

So, needless to say I was very happy that Richard took the time to have a little chat with me about things like how he got started, what inspires him, the importance of having a great muse to work with, and how place and roots are important in helping define us. I’m grateful for talking with him and sharing a few laughs over the course of our hour together.

Please take a moment and check out Richard’s incredible work at his website RichardBernadin.com, or thought his IG @richardbernardinphoto
