Recording this podcast with Alex was a lot of fun. I had a pretty good sense that it would be when he said before we started recording, “Umm, I’m Irish, I’m probably going to swear.” I knew it would be good, and it was.
Apart from being a great sport and lots of fun, Alex knows his stuff and his portfolio shows it. His work has appeared in magazines such as British Vogue, Rollacoaster, Nylon, Image, Tatler, NextDoorModel, Latest, Institute, and Irish Country to name just a few. Similarly, his client list is extensive with names like Chanel, CK2, L’Oréal, Parfois, Magee 1866, Brown Thomas, Primark, Pandora, BT2, Volvo, Toyota, and Emirates.
We cover a lot of ground including thinking on the fly, important considerations when on location, getting great shots by helping your subjects feel natural, and the two essential questions to consider when deciding whether to take a job or not.
As always, the three images Alex and I will be discussing are shown below so you can refer to those when listening to the podcast and hear why Alex chose his 3 pics.
The best way to get in touch with Alex is through his website (www.alexhutchinsonphotography.com) or through his Instagram (@alexhutch).
