Episode 8: Ines Bahr

On this episode, I’m talking to Ines Bahr who is a photographer and content creator based in the Mediterranean island nation of Malta. Ines is originally from Germany but has moved all over the world, Brazil, Cuba and now Malta. Ines is a content creator and digital marketer who develops work for her clients in German, Spanish and English.

Ines has a fantastic eye for people, emotion and locations and as you look through her portfolio you can see her incredible range. The best way to see Ines’ work is through her website (inesbahr.me) or through her Instagram account (@inesbahr_photography).

Ines and I talk about shooting in the incredible location of Malta, the joy an image can evoke, the process of discovery and journey in life, and feeling as though there is always something to learn in photography. Ines was very open and honest in her perspectives and thoughts and I really appreciate her being open in this podcast with me. Thank you Ines!

Episode 7: Ira Aaltonen

This week I’m talking with Ira Aaltonen who is a photographer based in Helsinki, Finland. I’ve got to say, there is a lot about Ira’s photography and approach that really resonated with me so I was eager to talk to her and learn more. She did not disappoint!

Some images that people produce immediately propel you into a scene or narrative and I find Ira’s images to be all about that. Whether it be video or stills, you have to see them to understand and the best way to do that is through her website (https://iraaaltonen.com/) or her Instagram (@ira.aaltonen).

On this episode, we talk about what it’s like to start a small business as a photographer, taking pictures of complete strangers on the street, and Ira’s unique approach to making her subjects feel comfortable and getting really natural shots. Follow along with the three images that Ira selected below.
